Can anyone tell me why we have not seen the books for July yet as it is Sept?? A board member has not even seen them after asking and asking.... The correct by-laws say we should get a report and have all books and files open to ALL OF US AT ALL TIMES!
l feel we should ALL have a copy of the books monthly and a copy of both bank statements!
We need to be a team and not hide things from each other... gail

Yes, Gail. I believe withholding information from interested homeowners is counter productive. I don't really believe the administration is doing anything wrong with our money, but denying clear, correct and complete information to owners is an unfortunate management style. It generates feelings of mistrust from owners who have a right to information about their own property. It can't be easy to manage a large property like LaMarina with so many owners with diverse views, but keeping everyone informed is essential for unity and finding carefully considered solutions to the many problems facing us. When any owner's differing views are devalued with characterizations like "a few disgruntled owners" or "trouble makers" it shows appalling disrespect. Treating owners as adversaries is a very poor way to develop consensus, participation and ends up restricting input that could lead to more creative problem solving
